Resolution Minerals Ltd CEO Craig Lindsay talked with Proactive about the company’s acquisition of the Horse Heaven project in Idaho, USA. The 57-square-kilometre site sits adjacent to Perpetua Resources, which is expected to produce 450,000 ounces of gold per year and a significant portion of US antimony requirements.
Lindsay said the acquisition is a “very significant step forward” for the company, complementing its focus on critical metals, including recent gold and antimony projects in Australia. He noted the strategic location and infrastructure advantages, with a high-voltage power line and access road cutting through the site.
“The fact that where there’s smoke, there’s fire is very, very exciting from a development perspective,” Lindsay stated. He emphasised the site’s historic production of tungsten, gold, and antimony, and the potential that lies below the shallow oxide drilling conducted so far.
Initial results from the Golden Gate target returned 36 metres at 1.5g/t, 71 metres at 1.4g/t, and nearly 60 metres over 1g/t. Notably, silver and antimony rock chip samples showed grades as high as 400g/t and 19% respectively.
Drilling is expected later this year with a program of around 20 holes totaling 6,000 metres. Lindsay described Horse Heaven as potentially “transformational” for Resolution.
