Filtronic shares rise 9% on record $32.5m SpaceX contract

Filtronic PLC (LSE:FTC) shares jumped 9% on Tuesday after the company announced its largest-ever contract, a $32.5 million (£24 million) order from SpaceX.

The deal, for its high-performance E-band Cerus 32 Solid State Power Amplifier, will be substantially delivered during the 2026 financial year.

The order marks a major milestone in Filtronic’s strategic partnership with SpaceX and underscores the company’s growing presence in the rapidly expanding space sector.

It said the scale of the award gives it confidence that revenue for FY2026 will exceed current expectations.

Filtronic, which designs and manufactures advanced radio frequency systems for space, aerospace, defence and telecoms, said it is continuing to invest in its technology roadmap to capitalise on long-term demand.

The shares rose 12p to 142p.
