Anemoi shares drop despite Bitcoin move

Shares in Anemoi International Ltd (LSE:AMOI) fell 8% on Monday, erasing early gains, after the company confirmed it has begun investing in Bitcoin as part of a new treasury strategy.

The London-listed software group said it has now allocated around 30% of its cash reserves to the cryptocurrency, following last week’s announcement that it could invest up to 75% in digital assets and related instruments.

The company said the move reflects interest from third parties in incorporating a crypto-related element into Anemoi’s operations.

It described the shift as “entirely complementary” to its core business, which centres on software for know-your-customer and anti-money laundering compliance.

The stock, which opened 10% higher, fell 0.071p to 0.83p.
