Sundae Bar Plc (AIM:SBAR) CEO Jill Kenney talked with Proactive about the company’s official listing on the AIM market and its vision to lead in the commercial rollout of AI agents. Kenney explained Sundae Bar’s model as an AI agent marketplace, enabling developers to host and monetise their agents, while providing businesses a trusted environment to test and deploy them.
She described AI agents as “autonomous pieces of software or AI models that can execute end-to-end tasks,” highlighting their potential to streamline repetitive roles and enhance productivity in enterprises.
Discussing sector adoption, Kenney noted early traction in task-heavy fields such as HR, sales intelligence, and video production. Sundae Bar's technology lets companies access agents as digital coworkers to support or replicate junior-level roles.
The company recently completed a £2 million raise through broker Clara Capital and is poised to enter the market with a fully developed product, thanks to its merger with Aura Technologies Plc, which already had a functioning marketplace. Kenney emphasised Sundae Bar’s focus on a clear vision and continuous product development based on user feedback.
“The goal is to make products that please and delight our users,” she said, outlining plans to grow Sundae Bar’s presence as a commercial platform for AI agent deployment.
Proactive: Jill, it's good to see you. How are you?
Jill Kenney: I'm good. Thank you, Steve.
Proactive: Yeah. Excited to have you along to learn a bit more about the company. For those not familiar, tell me a little bit about Sundae Bar.
Jill Kenney: Yeah. So Sundae Bar is an AI agent marketplace. Like any marketplace that has buyers and sellers — for us, the sellers are developers of AI agents, and then the buyers can purchase them. Developers can host, monetise, and scale agents on the platform. And then businesses and enterprises have a trusted place to test and deploy them.
The reason why we're doing this is — everyone knows AI is arguably one of the biggest macro tech trends of our time. AI agents have really come out as the darling in that space. They are being developed at mass and at scale. For those who don’t know, they’re autonomous pieces of software or AI models that can execute end-to-end tasks.
They do need human prompting, but they execute goals. Businesses and enterprises are finding that agents are an incredible way to increase productivity and save time. When you think of repetitive tasks in your day-to-day — things we've become computers to do — these agents are taking that off their plate.
So they're really being seen as complements and coworkers in the workplace, which is really exciting. We're at a transformative time in how people work. Sundae Bar is looking to be the company that defines how these AI agents are brought to market commercially.
Proactive: Okay. What sectors are you hoping to nail down? What are the companies that you're looking at that you think would benefit from your platform?
Jill Kenney: It'll be both vertical and horizontal, but what we’re seeing is adoption is happening fastest in task-oriented roles. So you’re seeing HR agents, sales intelligence agents, video production agents. I encourage everyone to think of it like hiring a junior HR worker — they might source candidates, edit resumes, and manage email campaigns. That’s where these agents slot in as complements in the workplace.
Proactive: I know this is a big week for the company. You're going to be trading in London. Tell me a little bit about the decision to take the company public and what that benefit brings to you.
Jill Kenney: Yes. We'll be listing on AIM, which is something we're very excited about. AIM is arguably one of the best growth markets in the world, definitely in Europe. 54% of growth capital over the last five years was raised on AIM.
For us, this means we can give investors early-stage access to a public AI opportunity. A lot of people want to invest in AI, but either companies are privately held, especially early-stage startups, or they’re very large like the Magnificent Seven. So this is a great chance to gain exposure to a true AI play through the AIM market.
Proactive: Yeah. And your ticker, just so everyone’s aware of it?
Jill Kenney: It is SBAR. SBAR — there we go.
Proactive: Perfect. Tell me a bit about the next six months to a year. How do you see the growth happening within the company?
Jill Kenney: We’re very fortunate that our broker, Clara Capital, helped us complete a £2 million raise. We’re in a good position. We believe we’re hitting the market at the right time.
Sundae Bar is the result of a merger between two companies — Condor AI and Aura Technologies Plc. Aura had a ready-made marketplace for carbon trading. So this fast-tracks us into the market on the tech side. We have a robust product already built that we can go live with. That puts us ahead of other startups from a readiness perspective.
What’s really important is keeping a clear vision and focus. I’ve worked in tech startups before. We have a strong business plan. We know what we want to do — to be the agent marketplace that defines how these agents come to market. We’ll focus on learning from customers. Our goal is to make products that please and delight our users. If we do that, we’ll have a successful business that creates investor volume.
Proactive: Well, I know it’s going to be very exciting times ahead, and very busy as well. Jill, thank you so much. Great to see you.
