Terra Metals Ltd (ASX:TM1, OTC:PNGZF) has secured the necessary heritage and drilling approvals to start Phase 3 drilling at its flagship Dante Project in Western Australia’s West Musgrave region. The company will target both infill and extensional drilling at the Reef 1 and Reef 2 copper-critical metal discoveries, aiming to upgrade resources ahead of its maiden Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE).
Additional approvals cover several new, high-priority targets featuring outcropping reef layers and strong electromagnetic (EM) anomalies. Exploration has also started on recently acquired HRM tenements and at Dante East, a vast, underexplored zone with over 30 kilometres of mapped reef layers. These initiatives position Terra Metals for significant resource growth and steady news flow in the months ahead.

“These approvals provide a strong pipeline of high priority drill targets, including untested outcropping reef layers, and EM anomalies, which have never been drilled. Given our high strike rate over the past 18 months, we are excited to test the growth potential of this vast underexplored project,” TM1 managing director and CEO Thomas Line said.
The Phase 3 program covers both infill and extensional drilling at Reef 1 and Reef 2, key mineralised zones within the Dante Project.
These areas have demonstrated potential for copper and other critical metals and are central to Terra Metals’ upcoming MRE. The approvals also extend to untested targets, including new reef outcrops and EM anomalies, representing significant greenfield exploration upside.
Exploration underway at HRM tenements and Dante East
Terra has also started field work on the recently acquired HRM tenements, believed to host strike extensions of Reef 1 and Reef 2.

The ground, while mostly under shallow cover, shows strong magnetic continuity with known mineralised systems. Concurrently, reconnaissance is underway at Dante East—a 400 square kilometre zone with more than 30 kilometres of historically mapped reef, tripling the strike of areas included in the upcoming MRE.
“The team have commenced field reconnaissance work on the Dante East and the recently acquired HRM tenure. Dante East contains more than 30km of historically mapped reef layers, which have not had any modern or systematic exploration,” Line said. “The HRM ground contains contiguous geology extending from the core Dante project, and sits mostly under shallow cover, however, the magnetics strongly suggest extensions of geophysical features associated with extensive copper-critical metal discoveries at Reef 1 and Reef 2.
Maiden resource estimate and metallurgy work on track
An independent South African consultancy is scheduled to visit the site in mid-June to advance the maiden MRE.
Alongside this, metallurgical optimisation work continues, highlighting the company’s broader development plans.
About the Dante Project
The Dante Project is located in a geologically rich zone near BHP’s Nebo-Babel deposit. It hosts Bushveld-style mineralised reefs containing copper, gold, platinum group metals (PGMs), titanium, and vanadium.
Since 2024, Terra has made two major stratiform discoveries, with several additional targets yet to be drill tested. The diversity of reef types supports potential for multiple mineralisation styles, enhancing the project’s exploration appeal.
