Pantheon International to increase share buyback

Pantheon International PLC (LSE:PIN) told investors it has opted to increase its share buyback programme by a further £10 million, whilst giving its monthly performance update.

The investment company said its net asset value per share was marked at 492.9p on 30 April, down 1.7% from the previous month.

It noted that net portfolio cash flow for the month was £8.9 million, distributions totalled £22.6 million while capital calls were £13.7 million.

Net asset value was £2.2 billion and its market capitalisation stood at £1.3 billion.

PIP invested £10.8 million in buybacks during April, acquiring 3.91 million shares at a weighted average price of 276.7p.

For its fourth quarter, PIP spent £35 million on buybacks, and, it has now approved a further £10 million to be spent in June through early July.

In April, meanwhile, PIP made a £5.20 million co-investment in Rubix Food, a US-based provider of custom flavours and ingredients.
