Sprintex Ltd (ASX:SIX)’s European expansion strategy is working, with partner Mest Water securing a trial order for advanced manure treatment systems aimed at reducing agricultural emissions and producing safe, high-value fertiliser products.

The technology is expected to set a benchmark for responsible farming practices across Europe.

“The A$8.4 million forecast revenue from Mest Water’s Van Drie order, marks a pivotal milestone and highlights the considerable potential of the ZLD-UP system in the Netherlands.
“This pending trial, alongside broader interest from other groups and growing MVR opportunities, is game-changing for Sprintex and is expected to unlock considerable value for shareholders.”
The systems, which use Sprintex’s proprietary compressor technology, form part of the ZLD-UP program – a zero-liquid discharge solution that transforms manure into bacteria-free potting mix and granular fertiliser.
Two system configurations have been developed – a stationary version, designed for high-capacity operators such as the pending customer Van Drie Group, processes 1,000 kilograms per hour and is priced at €36,000 (A$63,336) for evaluation units, dropping to €24,000 (A$42,224) for larger-scale orders.
Meanwhile, a newly developed mobile unit, tailored for smaller farms, processes 3,000 kilograms per hour and incorporates three Sprintex MW30 compressors, priced at €93,000 (A$163,617) for trials and €57,000 (A$100,281) for production.
Dutch government engaged
To support uptake of the technology, Mest Water is engaging with the Dutch government to secure subsidies and provincial co-financing for rental models.
These initiatives target more than 17,000 farms that must cut ammonia emissions by 50% by 2030 under European Union regulations.
As part of a June 2024 agreement, Sprintex is supplying 18 evaluation systems – 17 stationary and one mobile – valued at €705,000 (A$1.24 million), with final delivery expected in June and July 2025. This will support a major trial with Van Drie Group.
The company is also buoyed by growing interest in its Mechanical Vapour Recompression (MVR) technology across Europe, following strong exposure at Hannover Messe.
Three new MVR models are slated for launch in 2025 to meet demand across sectors including dairy, wastewater treatment, and green hydrogen production.
