T Stamp Inc (NASDAQ:IDAI, EURONEXT:AIID) earlier this week highlighted a new partnership with Partisia to advance decentralized identity verification through biometric holder binding.
The company said the combined solution allows for the verification of individuals rather than just their devices in decentralized ecosystems. It explained that this addresses a major security risk in current systems, which often rely on passwords or device-based credentials.
Jonathan Patscheider, Vice President of Trust Stamp, told Proactive that the core of the technology lies in ensuring that the rightful and intended owner is verified without storing sensitive biometric or key data. “We’re not storing any biometric data or private keys. You basically become the key,” he said.
Trust Stamp’s biometric verification tools will be paired with Partisia’s multi-party computation and GODS network, which supports interoperability across blockchain networks. According to Patscheider, users can regenerate credentials by simply being present in front of a camera, offering ease of use and strong privacy protections.
The company said this solution enables the creation of reusable, biometric-bound credentials that can operate securely across platforms without revealing underlying information.
The technology is expected to be especially relevant for regulatory-heavy industries such as government and institutional sectors. Trust Stamp noted that there is an ongoing push to modernize identity systems to be both compliant and user-controlled.
Patscheider warned that existing systems based on device verification can allow impersonation if the device is compromised. The company said its approach aims to prevent such risks while maintaining a decentralized structure.
