Hive Digital Technologies Executive Chairman Frank Holmes joined Steve Darling from Proactive to announce the company has reached a new all-time high of 9.5 Exahash per second (EH/s) in Bitcoin mining hashrate, surpassing 1% of the global Bitcoin network. This milestone highlights HIVE’s strategic progress toward its ambitious goal of achieving 25 EH/s by the end of 2025.
Holmes attributed the achievement to a series of strategic initiatives, including the energization of its first 100 MW hydro-powered data center in Yguazú, Paraguay. The current hashrate enables HIVE to mine over 4.5 Bitcoin per day, reinforcing its position as a leading player in the blockchain space.
HIVE’s roadmap is driven by a commitment to responsible growth, renewable energy use, and maximizing shareholder value. The company is rapidly scaling, adding approximately 1 EH/s per week and targeting 11.5 EH/s by June 2025 through ongoing expansions at the Yguazú facility.
Looking ahead, HIVE plans to launch a second 100 MW facility in Yguazú by summer 2025, pushing the hashrate to 18 EH/s and capturing 2% of the global network. A third 100 MW campus in Valenzuela, Paraguay, is set to bring the company to its 25 EH/s target by Q4 2025.
