Alphabet Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) is accelerating its artificial intelligence strategy with the full US rollout of “AI Mode” in Google Search and the unveiling of Android-powered smart glasses.

According to analysts at Bank of America, the moves, announced at Google’s annual I/O developer conference, are a sign the company is shifting from AI integration to offense and showcase Alphabet’s confidence in its AI capabilities and the monetization potential of its large language models (LLMs), particularly the Gemini platform.

Wolfspeed Inc (NYSE:WOLF) shares plunged almost 70% after the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) revealed the chipmaker is preparing to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy within weeks due to its inability to manage its substantial debt load, which totals around $6.5 billion.

According to the report, which cited sources with knowledge of the matter, the company has rejected multiple out-of-court debt restructuring proposals from creditors and is now focusing on a prepackaged bankruptcy plan that would have the support of a majority of its creditors.

Chinese electric vehicle maker Xpeng Inc (NYSE:XPEV) posted record quarterly deliveries and narrowed its net loss in the first quarter of 2025, sending its US-listed shares up nearly 12% in early trading on Tuesday.

The Guangzhou-based company delivered 94,008 vehicles in the quarter ended March 31, marking a 331% jump from a year earlier and setting a new quarterly record.

The company’s board has approved an investment of A$900,000 for the early works of its proposed Gen 2.0 Graphene Manufacturing Technology plant, which is expected to cost approximately A$2.3 million in total.

Sandoval, a veteran of the US Air Force and the National Security Agency, brings decades of experience in government, cybersecurity, and technology policy. TJX Companies Inc (NYSE:TJX) reported better-than-expected sales and profits for the first quarter, maintaining its full-year fiscal 2026 guidance despite broader uncertainty amid global tariffs.
