Great Southern Copper PLC (LSE:GSCU) has completed scout drilling at the Viuda Negra prospect, part of its Especularita Project in Chile.
The company drilled four holes for a total of 553 metres, with all holes intersecting quartz-magnetite vein alteration and breccia hosted in feldspar porphyry.
"We are extremely pleased with the progress of the scout diamond drilling at Viuda Negra, which targeted anomalous gold and silver results from outcrops of Maricunga-style alteration,” chief executive Sam Garrett said.
Also, Great Southern told investors that samples from the Phase II drilling at Mostaza have now been sent to ALS Laboratories, and the remaining samples are expected to be dispatched by the end of May.
At Cerro Negro, meanwhile, planning and permitting for geophysics and Phase III drilling are in progress.
And, reconnaissance work at Brechia Amarilla has returned rock chip sample grades up to 1.8% copper and 2.12g/t gold, associated with intrusive-related mineralisation.
