Calnex shares rise 10% on strong order book and return to profit

Shares in Calnex Solutions PLC (AIM:CLX) rose 10% on Tuesday after the telecoms testing company said it had entered the new financial year with a strong order backlog and growing demand across its core markets.

The update came alongside full-year results showing a 13% rise in revenue to £18.4 million and a swing back to profit, driven by higher-value sales and stronger trading in the second half. Underlying earnings rose more than thirteenfold to £1.2 million, while pre-tax profit reached £720,000, compared with a loss the previous year.

Calnex said demand is increasing across telecoms, cloud computing, defence and satellite sectors, with recent product launches such as the Paragon neo-S showing early momentum. The company ended the year with £10.9 million in cash and proposed a final dividend of 0.62p per share.

Management said they are confident in continued growth for the year ahead, in line with market expectations.

The shares, down 19% year to date, rose 4.9p to 54.9p.
