NextEnergy Solar Fund names new interim chair

NextEnergy Solar Fund Ltd (LSE:NESF) has announced that Helen Mahy CBE will step down as director and Chair at the close of business today.

Paul Le Page, previously the firm’s senior independent director, has been named interim chair.

"It has been a privilege to act as chair for NextEnergy Solar Fund,” Mahy said in a statement.

“During that time the company has continued to evolve and develop its solar energy and energy storage portfolio in line with its strategic objectives whilst continuing to offer shareholders excellent returns in the form of regular, stable dividends."

Paul Le Page has over 12 years of experience in the solar sector, and served as audit committee chair of Bluefield Solar Income Fund Limited for 10 years before joining NextEnergy Solar Fund in 2023.

"The board and I would like to thank Helen for her hard work and contributions and wish her the very best with her future endeavours,” Le Page added.

“Helen leaves NextEnergy Solar Fund and the Board well positioned to take advantage of the opportunities that lie ahead."
