Bluebird shares jump 13% on potential sale of Philippine gold stake

Shares in Bluebird Mining Ventures (LSE:BMV) rose 13% on Thursday after the company said it had entered discussions over a possible sale of its remaining interest in a Philippine gold project.

The talks follow the renewal of the project's permit and interest from Bluebird’s local partner. No formal offer has been made, but the company said the discussions are part of a broader strategy to explore early monetisation of the asset.

Interim CEO Aidan Bishop said recent developments were encouraging and noted rising interest in the project amid strong gold prices.

Bluebird focuses on gold exploration and development across Asia.

The shares rose 0.093p to 0.77p.
