The competition watchdog, Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), has cleared Cleanaway Waste Management Ltd’s acquisition of Citywide’s waste and recycling business.
The deal, expected to complete by late June, will bolster Cleanaway’s position in Melbourne’s commercial and council waste services.
Shares in Cleanaway Ltd slipped 0.7% to A$2.69 in mid-morning trade on Thursday. By late afternoon the company was trading at $2.67.
