Resolution Minerals flags porphyry-scale potential at Spur South; Drake East adds antimony-gold upside

Resolution Minerals Ltd has positioned itself for near-term catalysts with early-stage work progressing at its recently acquired projects in New South Wales. The Spur South Gold-Copper Project is emerging as a compelling porphyry-skarn target, while the Drake East Gold-Antimony Project adds high-grade polymetallic upside to the company’s growing portfolio.

The delineation of a discrete 3.25 kilometre-long magnetic anomaly at Spur South—coincident with faulted Ordovician volcanic rocks and structurally favourable settings—places the project within the same mineral system corridor that hosts Newmont’s >50 million ounce Cadia gold-copper complex. For investors, this provides early-stage exposure to one of Australia’s most prolific copper-gold belts with drilling potential on the horizon.

Tier-one address and scale potential

The Spur South Project (EL9720), located just 15 kilometres from Cadia Valley and hosted in the Molong Volcanic Belt, offers strong geological analogues to nearby tier-one deposits. The project’s untested magnetic anomaly is structurally and lithologically aligned with large-scale porphyry systems. The nearby Cargo and Golden Clad/Ironclad deposits share similar geophysical features, adding further confidence to the target model.

The company’s exploration model review, led by independent consultants, reinforces the view that Spur South may host a significant copper-gold system—offering early-stage investors speculative leverage to a major discovery scenario.

Catalysts in the pipeline

RML has outlined a clear, capital-efficient pathway to advance Spur South, including data reprocessing, magnetic and IP surveys, and initial drilling. The presence of a high-priority target at surface-accessible depths means that any early drill success could rapidly re-rate the company’s valuation. With funding in place, RML is positioned to execute this plan without delay.

This aligns with growing investor interest in porphyry systems, particularly those with access to infrastructure and in safe jurisdictions like New South Wales.

“The identification of a discrete magnetic target that possesses the local geology favourable for porphyry and/or skarn relayed gold and copper mineralisation is very positive. Notwithstanding the requirement to better define the 3.25km long target, the anomaly constitutes a high priority drill target,” executive director Aharon Zaetz said.

Drake East: A near-surface, multi-commodity upside

The Drake East Gold-Antimony Project (EL9730) complements Spur South by offering exposure to critical minerals—particularly antimony, which is listed by both Australian and US governments as essential for defence and energy technologies. The presence of high-grade antimony, gold, and silver mineralisation, alongside historical alluvial workings, supports a low-cost exploration entry point.

Land access for non-ground disturbing activities is underway, with initial mapping and sampling targeting quartz-sulphide vein systems. This work could lay the groundwork for follow-up drilling and a potential maiden resource.

Together, Spur South and Drake East provide a strategic footprint in two emerging districts—one aligned with porphyry-copper majors and the other with critical minerals.
