Lancaster targets maiden drill at Cargelligo in 2025 - ICYMI

Lancaster Resources Inc (CSE:LCR, OTCQB:LANRF) earlier this week outlined its near-term exploration strategy following the appointment of Andrew Watson as the company’s new CEO.

Watson told Proactive he had been with the company since February 2023 and had led its technical development and asset acquisition efforts over the past two years. He said the CEO transition was a natural step, with previous CEO Kelly stepping into the executive chair role.

The company said its strategic focus will be on advancing high-value critical mineral and precious metal assets, with the Lake Cargelligo project in New South Wales forming the core of upcoming activity.

Lancaster recently acquired Lake Cargelligo and has scheduled its maiden exploration program for the third quarter of 2025. The company said the initial phase will involve geochemical expansions and confirmation of past geochemistry data. It also plans to reprocess available geophysical data from the region.

The company highlighted that this groundwork will inform a drill campaign planned for late 2025 or early 2026. Up to five drill holes are expected in the initial round, targeting known mineralisation and testing extensions along approximately 25km of strike length.

Watson said, “We’re really focused on trying to find sort of a company maker discovery,” adding that he sees strong potential in the Australian asset.

The company also owns lithium and uranium projects in James Bay, New Mexico, and the Athabasca Basin. Watson noted that his involvement in acquiring these projects gives him deep insight into the portfolio, which supports a smoother transition into his leadership role.

The company said it is confident its approach to exploration and development can create shareholder value as it enters its next phase under new leadership.
