Novo Resources Corp acting CEO and executive co-chair Mike Spreadborough and exploration manager Kas De Luca talked with Proactive about progress at the John Bull Gold Project and key developments from Q1 2025.
Spreadborough opened the discussion by highlighting that Novo achieved all of its Q1 exploration goals, with fieldwork completed at several sites including the Tibooburra Project, the John Bull Gold Project, and Balla Balla. “We actually delivered on all the things that we wanted to do,” he said, noting that more drilling results are pending and that activity at Tibooburra continues.
De Luca elaborated on the John Bull campaign, calling the region an “emerging province” within the New England Fold Belt. She emphasised that soil sampling extended a gold anomaly to over 1.5 kilometres and confirmed high-grade results including 67.9 grams per tonne from the Breccia zone. “We’ve got the entire soil anomaly area, which is our main focus,” she explained, adding that mapping identified new vein systems and promising lithology.
De Luca confirmed that Novo is on track for a May-June drilling start, with all compliance and local preparations in place.
Spreadborough noted Phase 1 drilling will guide the company’s Q3 strategy, with potential follow-ups at John Bull, Tibooburra, or other prospects in the Pilbara region.
