Insig AI calls on companies to implement AI ‘by design’

Insig AI PLC (AIM:INSG) has co-published a research report with advisory firm Falcon Windsor on the responsible use of generative AI in corporate reporting.

The report, titled Your Precocious Intern, is based on input from 40 FTSE companies and analysis of all FTSE 350 annual reports from 2020 to 2024. It found that while AI adoption is growing, most companies lack training, oversight, or formal policies.

The study highlighted investor concerns around authorship, truthfulness, and the risk of homogenised content due to shared AI models. It called for companies to integrate AI by design, not by accident.

"The responsible use of AI is intrinsic to Insig AI's purpose and we hope that our collaboration with Falcon Windsor provokes thinking and provides guidance to all those involved in corporate reporting as they consider how to leverage AI tools for future ways of working, without compromising the flow of trusted information,” said Diana Rose, Insig AI Head of ESG Solutions.

Chief executive Richard Bernstein added: “A generation ago, it was the internet that transformed so many aspects of business. Today, generative AI is set to result in equally transformational consequences.

“It is therefore now incumbent on businesses to understand and embrace it.”
