Genflow Biosciences PLC (LSE:GENF, OTCQB:GENFF) reported progress across its research programmes and raised new funds during the 2024 financial year.
The company advanced its lead programme GF-1002, targeting MASH, to the pre-IND stage. It received positive feedback from the FDA, which encouraged pilot studies using appropriate animal models.
Genflow also launched two research collaborations supported by non-dilutive grants and secured a €4.03 million funding commitment from the Wallonia region for the continued development of GF-1002. Equity funding of £1.15 million was raised through two separate tranches.
In early 2025, a clinical trial in ageing dogs was initiated. Genflow also plans to begin development of an ophthalmology therapy using its proprietary SIRT6 gene.
The small-cap firm released its 2024 financial results on 30 April, confirming it ended December with a £278,682 cash reserve and it reported a loss of £1.59 million.
It remained debt-free.
