Century Lithium Corp. (TSX-V:LCE, OTCQX:CYDVF), which is advancing the Angel Island lithium project near Silver Peak in Nevada, has welcomed recent executive orders from the White House prioritizing domestic mining and processing of critical minerals.
"Century Lithium is uniquely prepared to contribute to a domestic solution for lithium products at Angel Island," Century Lithium CEO Bill Willoughby said in a statement.
"Our demonstration plant and advanced technology position us to contribute to the efforts of the US mining industry in building secure and sustainable domestic critical minerals supply chains."
Additionally, the company said it recently met with the Nevada State Office of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to review the impact of the recent White House orders and the ongoing progress of environmental studies and permitting for Angel Island.
At the federal level, key remaining steps include the completion and approval of final baseline studies and the submission of the Mine Plan of Operations (PoO) for BLM review.
Once the PoO is approved, the BLM will determine the appropriate level of National Environmental Policy Act review, either an environmental assessment or a full environmental impact statement.
