General Motors Company (NYSE:GM) shares fell 2% after the automaker pulled its 2025 full-year guidance, which it noted did not consider the impact of tariffs.
The company has postponed its first quarter earnings call until Thursday, when CEO Mary Barra and CFO Paul Jacobson will provide updated guidance that reflects the impact of updates to trade policy.
It appears the delay is linked to reports that the Trump administration may soon announce changes to its auto sector tariffs.
This overshadowed better-than-expected financial results for Q1, including revenue of $44.02 billion, up 2.3% from the year-ago quarter and ahead of estimates of $43.12 billion.
Earnings per share of $2.78 beat the consensus $2.66.
Shares of General Motors traded hands at about $46 late morning on Tuesday, down 13% in the year-to-date.
