Savills PLC (LSE:SVS) said on Tuesday that chief executive Mark Ridley will step down at the end of 2025, with finance chief Simon Shaw set to take over.
Ridley, who has spent 29 years at Savills and seven years in the top job, will retire after more than 40 years in the property industry.
Shaw, who has been group chief financial officer since 2009, will assume the role of group chief executive on 1 January 2026.
Shaw has led on financial strategy, mergers and acquisitions, technology and investor relations, and oversees Savills Investment Management. He also chairs Grosvenor Hill Ventures, the group’s private equity arm focused on property technology.
Savills said it had begun the process to appoint a new chief financial officer ahead of the leadership handover.
