Tesla raises prices of Canadian vehicles amid tariff dispute

Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) has significantly raised the prices of its entire electric vehicle lineup in Canada in response to new tariffs introduced amid ongoing trade tensions between the United States and Canada.

The tariffs were enacted after the US under President Donald Trump imposed a 25% tariff on imported vehicles and parts, prompting Canada to retaliate with comparable measures on US goods.

Price increases across Tesla’s Canadian lineup range from approximately 13% to 22%, depending on the model, with rises between C$10,000 and C$30,000.

For instance, the Model 3 Long Range AWD increased from C$68,990 to C$79,990, a 16% jump.

The Cybertruck Tri-Motor Cyberbeast saw a 22% rise, increasing from C$137,990 to C$167,990.

The higher prices apply only to new orders and vehicles entering Canada after the tariffs took effect.

Tesla’s existing inventory, imported before the tariffs, remains available at pre-tariff pricing, which the company is actively promoting to Canadian customers.

Tesla has not explicitly cited the tariffs as the reason for the price adjustments.
