Empire Metals Ltd (AIM:EEE, OTCQB:EPMLF) has reported high-grade results from its air core drilling campaign at the Pitfield Project in Western Australia.
The company drilled 85 holes over 4,437 metres across the Thomas and Cosgrove prospects.
It said all holes encountered broad, continuous zones of titanium dioxide mineralisation, with an average grade of 5.77% TiO₂.
“These exceptional results demonstrate the sheer scale and quality of titanium mineralisation at Pitfield,” managing director Shaun Bunn said in a statement.
“The consistency of high-grade intervals from near-surface, along with the depth and continuity of weathering, has surpassed our expectations.
“The bulk samples will now feed directly into upscaled metallurgical testwork aimed at fast-tracking product development."
Standout results included 60 metres at 6.30% TiO₂, 56 metres at 7.15% TiO₂ and 51 metres at 7.88% TiO₂, all from surface. Some intervals reached grades of up to 18.07% TiO₂.
At the Thomas prospect, 43 holes returned an average grade of 6.20% TiO₂.
At Cosgrove, 42 holes averaged 5.34% TiO₂. Both prospects confirmed thick zones of mineralisation in the weathered cap to depths over 50 metres.
