RISERS

Top dog on Footsie today was mobile giant Vodafone (LON: VOD), up 3.38% after revealing it is poised to launch its home broadband service in the UK in the next few weeks and pay TV later this year.

Paving block specialist Marshalls (LON:MSLH), in the FTSE250, added 3.36% after it said it saw strong orders and sales growth in all markets for the first four months of 2014.

Proxama (LON:PROX) added 11.39% as it emerged Neil Garner, founder and chief executive, is to step aside. He has been at the helm for ten years and will stay until a replacement is found.

Fallers

The biggest loser on Footsie was luxury retailer Burberry (LON:BRBY), down 4.31% after it warned, in its prelims, it was seeing increased uncertainty in some of its markets and warned over the potential impact of currency movements.

Hargreaves Lansdown (LON:HL.), financial giant, dropped 3.83% to 1,231p as it posted record net inflows of £2.75bn in the first four months but reported rising costs.

Rose Petroleum (LON:ROSE) lost 13.33% as it revealed positive findings from analysis of the State 1-34 well but also detailed a £3.1mln equity fundraise.
