Intel Corp (NASDAQ:INTC, ETR:INL) shares fell 6.4% in extended trading on Thursday after the chipmaker issued a weaker-than-expected revenue forecast for the second quarter, offsetting a slight beat on first-quarter revenue.

The company reported first-quarter revenue of $12.67 billion, narrowly topping Wall Street estimates of $12.31 billion. However, adjusted earnings per share came in at $0.13, missing analysts’ average estimate of $0.74, according to LSEG data.

Google parent company Alphabet Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) saw its shares rise more than 4% afterhours on Thursday as it delivered an earnings beat for the first quarter.

Revenue jumped 12% year-over-year to $90.2 billion, attributed to strength in Google Search, YouTube ads, Google subscriptions and Google Cloud, each of which delivered double-digit growth.

Shares of Newmont Corporation (NYSE:NEM, TSX:NGT, ASX:NEM, ETR:NMM) rose 2.2% on Thursday morning after the world’s largest gold miner reported first-quarter earnings that beat Wall Street expectations, driven by higher gold prices, lower costs and delayed capital spending.

The company posted adjusted earnings per share of $1.25, ahead of its estimate of $0.97 and well above the consensus of $0.92. Adjusted EBITDA came in at $2.63 billion, beating Street forecasts.

Shares of Hasbro Inc (NASDAQ:HAS) rose 7.7% in premarket trading on Thursday after the toymaker posted a sharp first-quarter revenue beat, powered by strong sales from Magic: The Gathering and digital gaming.

Revenue rose 17% year-over-year to $887.1 million, far surpassing analysts' expectations of $771.15 million, driven by a 46% surge in its Wizards of the Coast and Digital Gaming segment. Operating profit in the segment soared 87%, with margins nearing 50%.

Gold stocks were in favour on Thursday afternoon, buoyed by a rebound in bullion prices following a sharp midweek pullback.

The spot price rose 1.6% to $3,348.10 an ounce, reversing some of Wednesday’s losses after gold briefly slipped below $3,300. That drop had followed earlier highs of $3,500.05, set earlier in the week.
