X2M Connect Ltd CEO Mohan Jesudason talked with Proactive about the company’s expanding data-driven technology platform, its focus on smart utility solutions, and the growing role of AI in renewable energy optimisation.
Jesudason introduced X2M as an Australian technology company specialising in data collection and transformation across multiple devices and sectors. Its platform aggregates data from sources such as solar panels, batteries, and water meters, enabling smarter, real-time decisions in both utilities and renewables.
He highlighted how the platform is used for utility digitisation — including smart metering, leak detection, and automated billing — across technologically advanced regions like South Korea, Japan, and Taiwan. “We can now change the earnings profile of a renewable energy company by 4 or 5% through better use of data and predictability,” Jesudason said.
The company’s recent product, HiveAI, was cited as a key enabler in expanding its addressable market. X2M currently supports 82 enterprise and government clients, with potential revenues reaching 500 million AUD upfront and 40 million AUD in recurring income.
Jesudason discussed recent contract wins in South Korea, attributing market entry to the region’s growth, infrastructure investment, and digital incentives. Looking ahead, X2M expects revenue growth, reduced cash burn, and improved profitability. Strategic partnerships in the UAE and Taiwan are also expected to contribute meaningfully in the upcoming financial year.
