Thor Exploration quietly delivering, says research house

In a market where small-cap miners often struggle to stand out, Thor Explorations Ltd (TSX-V:THX, AIM:THX, OTC:THXPF) has delivered a quietly impressive start to 2025, and investors would do well to take notice.

The gold producer posted first-quarter output of 22,790 ounces from its Segilola mine in Nigeria, modestly ahead of expectations.

That’s no game-changer in isolation, but it signals consistent operational performance at a time when cost control and delivery are more prized than hype.

Hannam & Partners responded by raising its valuation on the stock by 14.5%, noting that the company remains on track to meet full-year guidance of 85,000 to 95,000 ounces at an all-in sustaining cost of $800–$1,000 per ounce.

Remember, the spot gold price went above $3,500 earlier on Tuesday.

But what matters more for longer-term holders is the growing potential of Thor’s wider portfolio.

Exploration at Segilola is pointing to orebody extensions, while a key pre-feasibility study is due this quarter at Douta, Thor’s gold project in Senegal.

Hannam values the firm at 40p per share, with further upside possible if gold stays near recent highs.

For investors hunting growth in West African gold, Thor may soon demand a closer look.
