Power Metallic Mines Inc (TSX-V:PNPN, OTCQB:PNPNF) reported that all four drill holes at the Tiger Zone of its Nisk project in Quebec intersected shallow Lion-style polymetallic mineralization, primarily copper, between 50 and 100 meters below surface.
The holes targeted off-hole electromagnetic (BHEM) anomalies identified from earlier drilling.
The results include a broad intercept of polymetallic mineralization grading 0.96% copper equivalent recoverable (CuEqRec) over 14.3 meters, with a higher-grade core of six meters at 1.84% CuEqRec. A separate interval returned one meter at 6.37% CuEqRec.
Power Metallic noted that these findings point to the potential for a broader mineralized zone extending from earlier discoveries in the area.
"As a stand-alone prospect, Tiger is becoming increasingly compelling. It's not yet at Lion's level, but recent results show clear promise,” CEO Terry Lynch said in a statement.
The Tiger Zone, located approximately 700 meters east of the Lion Zone, remains the smallest mineralized area along the Nisk trend but is considered prospective for further discovery.
Recent BHEM surveys have outlined additional off-hole anomalies that will be tested when drilling resumes in late May.
The winter campaign covered targets across eight kilometres of strike length, including the Lion, Nisk, Nisk East, and Tiger zones.
Assays from four additional holes in the Lion Zone are expected next week, followed by results from the Nisk areas and two more Tiger holes.
