Norsk Titanium showcases defense-ready additive manufacturing capabilities at Rapid + TCT Conference

Norsk Titanium (OTCQX:NORSF) said it is ready to support US defense needs with its proprietary Rapid Plasma Deposition (RPD) technology at the Rapid + TCT conference in Detroit last week.

Speaking at North America’s largest additive manufacturing and industrial 3D printing event, Nick Mayer, Norsk’s vice president of product management, outlined the company’s role in supplementing traditional forging and casting industries with its directed energy deposition technology.

“We were excited to present at the Rapid + TCT amidst signals from leading aerospace industry players that see a significant increase in the use of titanium parts manufactured with directed energy deposition technologies like our RPD technology,” Mayer said.

Mayer added that Norsk Titanium has spent more than a decade developing and qualifying its RPD technology, which enables the production of structural titanium parts for the aerospace industry.

With qualification milestones achieved, the company is entering an operational and commercial ramp-up phase to meet growing demand.

The Rapid + TCT conference featured over 400 exhibitors and served as a platform for advancing applications of additive manufacturing across aerospace, defense, and industrial sectors.
