Insig AI confirms FCA has placed an order to access AI-driven disclosure analytics platform

The Financial Conduct Authority has placed an order with Insig AI PLC (AIM:INSG) for access to its disclosure analytics platform, marking a new step in the regulator’s use of AI to tackle greenwashing and improve corporate transparency.

Under the deal, the FCA will subscribe to Insig AI’s Transparency and Disclosure Index, a tool designed to track, benchmark and analyse public statements made by UK-listed companies. The platform allows users to trace claims directly back to source documents such as annual reports and regulatory filings.

The regulator will also gain access to ImpactScope’s Greenwashing Identifier, a machine-learning tool that flags inconsistencies or unverified claims across a broad range of corporate communications - from ESG reports and earnings calls to social media and carbon offset transactions. Insig AI is the exclusive distributor of this software to global regulators and asset managers.

The deal builds on Insig’s previous involvement with the FCA’s 2023 Greenwashing TechSprint, a global initiative led by 13 regulators to explore how AI can help verify ESG claims and share findings across borders.

Insig CEO Richard Bernstein said: "Since collaborating on the FCA's TechSprint, we have been hugely impressed with the FCA's decisiveness in harnessing technology, including AI and machine learning."
