Titan Minerals CEO Melanie Leighton talked with Proactive about the company's latest drilling results at the Dynasty Gold Project in southern Ecuador.
Leighton said the company was “really pleased” with the outcomes, which showed new shallow gold and silver mineralization outside the current defined resources. The latest results come from the Iguana and Cerro Verde prospects.
Leighton highlighted intersections including 2.6 metres at 3.5 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 21.5 g/t silver from 26.8 metres; and 3.7 metres at 2.5 g/t gold and 9.9 g/t silver from 92.9 metres at Cerro Verde and intercepts of 5.4 metres at 2.3 g/t gold and 5.7 g/t silver from 49.9 metres; and
2.3 metres at 2.7 g/t gold and 5.9 g/t silver from 212.1 metres at Iguana.
These results confirm and extend previous interpretations, strengthening confidence in the resource with potential upgrades to follow.
Titan has completed 31 holes for 7,970 metres, with assay results received for 25 holes. Results from the remaining six are expected in the coming fortnight. The updated three-dimensional geological model for Dynasty will support a forthcoming resource update.
Drilling is set to resume shortly, with the company planning to accelerate activity. Titan is progressing through its initial 10,000m campaign, with potential to drill beyond that, given the number of remaining untested targets.
