Constellation reports March quarter progress across copper-gold and natural hydrogen projects

Constellation Resources Ltd has released its March quarterly report, highlighting key developments across its exploration portfolio in Western Australia. The company’s efforts during the quarter focused on advancing its Ularring Copper-Gold Project and progressing early-stage evaluation across its expansive natural hydrogen acreage.

The company is debt free, with around $800,000 in the bank and should see the addition of up to A$2.36 million before costs through a non-renounceable entitlement offer. The offer entitles eligible shareholders to subscribe for one new fully paid ordinary share for every four shares held at the record date, at an issue price of A$0.15 per share.

During the quarter, Constellation reviewed several potential new business opportunities in the resources sector, both within Australia and overseas. While these evaluations are ongoing, no binding agreements have been executed, nor have any licences been granted to date.

High-grade potential at Ularring Copper-Gold Project

Constellation continues to advance its Ularring Copper-Gold Project, located in a region known for significant intrusion-related deposits, including the Boddington Copper-Gold Mine and Caravel Copper Project.

At the Centre Forest Prospect, the most advanced prospect at Ularring, the company has identified a copper-gold horizon interpreted to be hosted within a regional shear corridor that tracks the margin of an intrusive body. A recent dipole-dipole induced polarisation (DDIP) survey defined a chargeable anomaly with horizontal-plunging responses exceeding 16 millivolts per volt (mV/V) over a 1.1 kilometre by 0.3 kilometre area from 300 metres depth. The core of the anomaly features higher chargeability readings of more than 20 mV/V—yet remains untested by drilling.

Importantly, these responses are significantly stronger than those previously modelled over historic sulphide copper-gold intersections up-dip, suggesting potential for increased sulphide content and higher-grade mineralisation.

Historic petrology studies and multi-element assay reviews from selected gold intersections have revealed a strong correlation between gold and associated elements including silver and scheelite, alongside a sulphide assemblage comprising chalcopyrite, bismuthinite, molybdenite, pyrrhotite and tellurides. This geochemical signature suggests that targeting areas with elevated sulphide concentrations could enhance the potential for discovering higher-grade copper-gold (Cu-Au) mineralisation.

Notable intersections from drilling at the Centre Forest Prospect include:

  • 19 metres at 2.02 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 0.16% copper from 16 metres to end of hole in hole CFR004
  • 37 metres at 0.73 g/t gold and 0.26% copper from 21 metres in hole CFC001
  • 35 metres at 0.64 g/t gold and 0.16% copper from 16 metres in hole CFC003
  • 30 metres at 0.94 g/t gold and 0.1% copper from surface in hole UAC001
  • 17 metres at 1.1 g/t gold and 0.21% copper from 84 metres in hole CFC002
  • 20 metres at 0.55 g/t gold and 0.13% copper from 80 metres in hole CFC006

These results support the presence of intrusion-related mineralisation and highlight Centre Forest’s potential as a significant Cu-Au exploration target.

A two-hole diamond drilling program has begun to test the northern extent of the anomaly, targeting the highest and shallowest chargeability peaks.

Expanding natural hydrogen exploration footprint

Constellation has also made headway across its natural hydrogen assets, now covering 87,602 square kilometres through nine Special Prospecting Authorities with Acreage Options (SPA-AOs) across the Edmund-Collier, Yerrida and Ashburton Basins. These areas are strategically located along the Goldfields gas transmission pipeline, offering future commercialisation pathways.

A regional soil gas sampling program is planned to begin in the June quarter at Edmund-Collier, with design parameters informed by outcomes from the CSIRO Kick-Start Program Research Agreement. In parallel, a geological review and sampling program has been completed, with core samples from publicly available diamond drill holes submitted for testing to determine porosity, organic content, and source-rock potential.

A second technical services agreement with CSIRO is now underway, focused on thermal maturity assessments and fluid inclusion analysis. The results will assess whether hydrogen generation has occurred, potentially indicating the presence of a basin-wide kitchen—an essential component in confirming the viability of a hydrogen system.

It’s a good time to be in hydrogen, with global demand forecast to increase fivefold by 2050. At present, the majority of hydrogen consumption is derived from grey hydrogen, produced using natural gas. However, there is growing international momentum towards identifying and adopting zero-carbon hydrogen sources.

Constellation Resources believes it has secured some of the most prospective large-scale basin opportunities in Western Australia for hydrogen, helium, and associated gases. The Ccmpany anticipates these strategic holdings will provide a first-mover advantage in the exploration for natural hydrogen.
