Yandal Resources Ltd has confirmed high-grade gold mineralisation at a newly defined prospect named Salusa on the southeastern margin of the New England Granite (NEG) in Western Australia.
Concurrently, the company is advancing heritage surveys at its large-scale Caladan target, paving the way for further drilling activity in the June quarter.

High-grade intercepts at Salusa confirm new mineralised zone
Assay results have been received for 23 of 27 RC holes drilled during the March quarter, totalling 6,100 metres across the NEG and structural targets north and south of the Siona discovery.
Notable intersections from the newly named Salusa Prospect include:
- 2 metres at 9.4 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 33 metres; and
- 14 metres at 0.8 g/t gold from 82 metres.
The mineralisation is associated with a northwest-trending intrusive contact, now confirmed over more than 500 metres of strike.
Importantly, anomalous gold zones were also identified deeper into the granitic host, comparable to early-stage results from the adjacent Siona discovery.
“Salusa demonstrates numerous intervals of mineralisation or anomalism deep into the intrusive, reminiscent of early drilling proximal to Siona,” Yandal managing director Chris Oorschot said.
Strategic location within established gold belt
The Salusa Prospect lies within the 4.2 kilometre by 2 kilometre NEG target zone, situated in exploration licence E 53/1843.
This area forms part of the broader Ironstone Well–Barwidgee Gold Project, which sits approximately 45 kilometres north of Northern Star Resources Ltd Bronzewing operation and 75 kilometres south of Jundee, placing it within the highly endowed Yandal Greenstone Belt.
Infill ground gravity data collected during the quarter has refined the company’s understanding of the structural framework surrounding the New England Granite, aiding in target prioritisation for upcoming programs.

Heritage clearance to unlock Caladan and Siona drilling
Heritage surveys have kicked off at the Caladan target area, with further surveys across the Siona and western NEG zones scheduled for May.
These surveys are a critical step toward unlocking access for a wide-ranging air-core drilling campaign planned for mid-2025.
Caladan remains largely untested, with exploration focused on a complex fold structure believed to host significant mineral potential. The upcoming drilling campaign will test multiple targets across this zone, guided by both structural interpretation and geophysical datasets.

Strategic review of non-core assets underway
Yandal has completed a strategic review of its Gordons Gold and Mt McClure Gold projects, both considered non-core to its current exploration focus.
The company has received approaches from external parties and is actively evaluating options including divestment, joint ventures or farm-in agreements.
