Forte Minerals to begin drilling at Pucarini

Forte Minerals Corp (CSE:CUAU, OTCQB:FOMNF) announced plans to launch a 1,500-metre diamond drill program at its Pucarini gold project in southern Peru by the end of the second quarter of 2025.

The program, which will comprise five holes, marks the company’s first-ever drilling at the site and will target high-sulfidation epithermal gold mineralization.

Located in Peru’s Miocene high-sulfidation epithermal gold belt, the 1,000-hectare Pucarini property hosts multiple gold-bearing alteration zones within a 3.6 km by 1.8 km footprint.

Surface geochemical sampling has revealed gold, molybdenum, and copper anomalies, supported by coincident chargeability and magnetic geophysical signatures.

The main target area, measuring roughly 1.2 km by 700 metres, is underpinned by a large IP chargeability anomaly and a magnetic anomaly indicative of a potential underlying porphyry system.

“Given the strong surface geochemistry, extensive alteration, and compelling geophysical signatures, we believe this project presents a promising opportunity for discovery,” said CEO Patrick Elliott.

In a separate update, Forte announced the termination of its option agreement with Alta Copper on the Don Gregorio copper-gold project in northern Peru. The decision follows persistent access issues that prevented environmental permitting.

The project has been returned to Alta’s subsidiary, Cobriza Metals.
