Animoca Brands Corporation Ltd subsidiary GAMEE has unveiled Moon Cards, a novel trading card game (TCG) that blends real-world memecoin performance with collectible card gameplay.
Launched on the Telegram app, Moon Cards introduces a dynamic and interactive format that allows players to collect, merge, and battle with cards tied to the market value of popular memecoins.
Bridge gap between crypto and gaming
Designed to bridge the gap between cryptocurrency markets and gaming, Moon Cards provides an accessible entry point for both seasoned crypto traders and newcomers.
The game does not require players to purchase tokens, instead enabling them to engage with memecoin trends and strategies through in-game actions.
At launch, the game features 150 types of cards representing memecoins from the Solana, TON, and Ethereum networks.
Each card’s attributes—its Star Value and Card Score—are updated daily in line with memecoin price movements and social sentiment.
Four-stage rollout
The launch marks the first phase of a four-stage rollout. In the current Moonrise phase, players can collect and merge cards.
Upcoming stages will include Meme Wars, a player-versus-environment (PvE) mode against AI bosses; Degen Showdown, a player-versus-player (PvP) tournament format; and the Lunar Marketplace, where players will be able to trade cards as non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
“Moon Cards is an interactive, strategy game where real-world market moves shape every decision," said Martin Zakovec, chief executive officer of GAMEE. "Players must integrate with and understand the dynamics of different memecoin communities to choose when to hold, when to merge, and when to make their next move. It's the most dynamic Web3 trading card game to date.”
The game is currently available via invite-only access on Telegram, with approximately 230,000 pre-sale participants receiving referral codes to onboard new players.
