GTI Energy completes key milestones; Lo Herma scoping study on schedule

GTI Energy Ltd has finalised all fieldwork studies at its Lo Herma in-situ recovery (ISR) Uranium Project in Wyoming’s Southern Powder River Basin, marking a significant milestone ahead of its upcoming Scoping Study which remains on track for quarter 2 2025. The company confirmed that conceptual designs and cost estimates for mine unit wellfield layouts, wellfield construction, and uranium process plant engineering have all been completed.

These developments conclude the suite of critical input studies for the interim Scoping Study. The completed work builds on earlier positive outcomes from hydrogeological and metallurgical (alkaline leach) testwork announced in February.

“This is an important milestone for the Lo Herma project’s development and keeps GTI on track to complete our Scoping Study during this quarter. The well field planning and process engineering studies are completed and costed which puts us in a good position to deliver the study and establish baseline economics for the project,” GTI Energy executive director Bruce Lane said.

Integrating results

Study manager BRS Engineering Inc is now advancing the integration of these results into a financial model and final report format. The study will assess multiple development scenarios, including the potential for a standalone Central Processing Plant (CPP) or a satellite production facility.

GTI is also preparing an amendment to its existing Drilling Notification Permit, targeting further exploration of defined Exploration Targets. The objective is to expand the project's mineral resources base and enhance its development potential.

Focus on uranium

Lo Herma is GTI Energy’s flagship asset; however, the company also holds high-potential, drill-permitted projects in Wyoming’s Great Divide Basin and Green Mountain region, along with brownfields conventional uranium and vanadium assets in the Henry Mountains of Utah.
