Bango’s Digital Vending Machine is powering Telenet’s new entertainment marketplace

Bango (AIM: BGO) has announced a new strategic collaboration with European telecoms firm Telenet.

The London-listed payments company will power the telecom operator's newly launched entertainment marketplace with Bango’s patented Digital Vending Machine (DVM) platform.

The Telenet marketplace brings together top streaming and entertainment subscription services under one seamless digital hub, now accessible across TV, broadband, and mobile channels.

Customers are able to can browse, bundle, and manage subscriptions like Netflix and Disney+ from a single bill - via Telenet TV, the My Telenet app, or in-store.

The ‘Super Bundling’ solution, initially available to Telenet’s TV customers, currently extends to close to 2 million users.

"We're excited to be partners with Telenet in bringing their visionary entertainment marketplace to life,” Bango chief marketing officer Anil Malhotra said.

“With so many subscription services enabled through the Bango DVM including leading streaming services such as Netflix and Disney+, telcos can quickly bring to market sophisticated bundling offers.”

Malhotra added: “Telcos like Telenet group are leading the way by providing a simple, centralized platform that enhances the customer experience and makes access to and management of subscription services effortless."

Ivor Micallef, Telenet director of Entertainment Product, added: "In a highly competitive industry, the Bango DVM™ sets us apart, allowing us to deliver a sophisticated variety of bundled entertainment subscription offers.

“Customers can easily activate, deactivate, and access the best deals, putting them in complete control of their subscriptions via a single Telenet bill."

In London, Bango shares were up 4.5% changing hands at 69p - valuing the small-cap UK tech company at just under £55 million.
