Shares in Smarttech247 Group PLC (AIM:S247) were up as much as 16% after the company announced it had secured a multi-year cybersecurity framework agreement with a major international airport in London.
The five-year deal, which includes the option of a one-year extension, has a total potential value of up to £7 million across four suppliers. While it does not guarantee a minimum spend, it positions Smarttech247 as a trusted cybersecurity provider to one of the UK’s busiest transport hubs.
The agreement enables the airport to call on Smarttech247’s services as needed, including its AI-driven VisionX platform. The company will be eligible to deliver a wide range of cybersecurity services, from 24/7 threat detection and firewall maintenance to dark web monitoring and advanced email protection.
The news marks a significant commercial milestone for the AIM-listed group, expanding its presence in the UK’s critical infrastructure sector.
After being marked higher, the stock settled at 6.51p for a gain of 4%.
