Altech Batteries Ltd has showcased its CERENERGY® battery technology at Hannover Messe 2025, the world’s leading industrial trade fair. The company featured in the dedicated Energy Storage Hall, drawing significant interest from industry leaders, prospective partners, and investors.
Hannover Messe attracts more than 200,000 visitors and 6,500 exhibitors annually, providing a prominent global platform for industrial innovation. Altech used the opportunity to introduce its CERENERGY® solid-state sodium alumina battery technology to a diverse international audience within the energy storage sector.
“We are delighted by the level of interest in our CERENERGY® battery technology at Hannover Messe. The feedback we’ve received from potential partners and industry players has been extremely encouraging,” group managing director Iggy Tan said.
“As countries and industries accelerate their transition towards renewable energy, we see CERENERGY® as a game-changer in providing cost-effective, safe, and sustainable battery solutions.”
Altech engages with strategic partners at Hannover Messe to accelerate battery commercialisation
Altech’s presence at the Hannover Messe exhibition forms part of its broader strategy to secure a strong commercial partner to advance the commercialisation of its sodium-alumina solid-state battery technology.
During the event, the company conducted high-level meetings with representatives from energy companies, industrial manufacturers, and strategic investors seeking exposure to the fast-growing energy storage sector.
Altech said the response was “overwhelmingly positive”, reflecting global demand for advanced battery technologies that offer high performance while reducing reliance on critical raw materials such as lithium and cobalt.
The timing of Hannover Messe aligns with Germany’s increased investment in defence and clean energy, amid ongoing geopolitical tensions and the continuing European Union–United States trade dispute. As energy security rises to the top of the policy agenda, Altech’s CERENERGY® battery technology is positioned to support Europe’s ambitions for energy independence and industrial resilience.
