Terra Metals Ltd has fielded further strong drilling results from the Dante Project in Western Australia, with infill reverse circulation (RC) drilling at Reef 2 North confirming broad zones of high-grade mineralisation from surface and closing a 2.7 kilometre gap in earlier drilling.
“These latest results confirm the continuity of wide zones of hanging wall mineralisation and high-grade reef mineralisation from surface at Reef 2,” managing director and CEO Thomas Line said.
Excellent metal recoveries
“The excellent metal recoveries and concentrate grades achieved in the Dante Reefs Phase 1 metallurgical work highlighted the economic potential of the hanging wall mineralisation, indicating potential for a larger tonnage and lower strip ratio resource.”
The company completed 13 RC drillholes targeting the northern extent of Reef 2.
Standout intersections include:
- 15 metres at 12.89% titanium dioxide (TiO₂) and 0.28% copper equivalent (CuEq) from 42 metres in hole HRC029, including 4 metres at 21.44% TiO₂ and 0.59% CuEq;
- 9 metres at 14.46% TiO₂ and 0.29% CuEq from surface in HRC021; and
- 4 metres at 12.96% TiO₂ and 0.43% CuEq from 72 metres in HRC030.
The new drilling confirms continuity of mineralisation across Reef 2 North, with thick intercepts of polymetallic mineralisation in both the hanging wall and reef zones, supporting the potential for a higher-tonnage, lower strip-ratio resource.
These results build on previous high-grade intersections from earlier drilling across the Dante Project and coincide with ongoing metallurgical testwork.
Terra is currently making progress on a maiden mineral resource estimate (MRE), expected to be completed using existing drill data and sample inventory.
Low-cost processing
The company recently reported positive outcomes from Phase 1 metallurgical testing, producing three saleable concentrates: a copper-gold-platinum group metals (PGM) sulphide concentrate, a high-purity titanium-ilmenite concentrate and a high-grade vanadium-magnetite concentrate.
All were achieved using low-cost processing techniques.
Situated in the West Musgrave region, the Dante Project hosts extensive, outcropping reef-style mineralisation across a 70-metre-thick gabbronorite unit, offering significant exploration and development upside for copper, gold, titanium, platinum and vanadium.
