Elon Musk's SpaceX is preparing to launch Starlink services in Vietnam, starting with a ground station in Danang that could be operational by May or June, according to Reuters citing sources briefed on the plans.
The move is part of a broader agreement with the Vietnamese government that could see up to 15 such stations established across the country.
Vietnam has approved a five-year pilot programme allowing Elon Musk to maintain full control of SpaceX’s local arm, despite typical restrictions on foreign ownership.
