Boeing 737 Max production reportedly slows

Boeing Co (NYSE:BA, ETR:BCO) has slowed production of its 737 MAX aircraft to around 31 jets per month, down from 38, due to delays linked to installing wing systems, according to aviation site The Air Current.

The plant, in Washington State, had briefly hit its target of 38 in February, but a spike in unfinished work caused the company to scale back output.

The issue reportedly persisted through March, prompting Boeing to slow certain earlier parts of wing production to get back on track.

The US planemaker is aiming to boost monthly output to at least 38 aircraft this year, after cutting production in the wake of a high-profile safety incident. Boeing has not commented publicly on the report.
