Active Energy Group PLC (AIM:AEG, OTCQB:ATGVF), the renewable energy company focused on biomass, has had its European patent application approved for a process that cleans and upgrades biomass material.
The patent supports the company’s CoalSwitch technology, a cleaner, high-performance alternative to traditional biomass fuel. Once granted, the patent will apply across multiple EU countries, giving Active Energy broader protection for its process.
The company says this is a key step in pushing CoalSwitch towards large-scale use, helping drive the shift to greener energy while building long-term value from its growing portfolio of patents.
