The gold price has hit another all time high sitting at US$3054 and AU$4850.
"On average, gold takes 1,708 days to climb $500 increments, but this latest jump took just 210 days," notes Taylor Burnette, Research Lead at the World Gold Council.
For reference, the move from US$1,500 to US$2,000 took a slow 3,394 days, or a little over nine years: this latest US$500 move happened in just seven months.
Top of the market or bull run
The rapid ascent begs the question: are we reaching the top of the market when it comes to the price of gold or are we just getting started on this bull run?
With central banks purchasing gold in record amounts, geo-political tensions around the world and the Trump tariff effects, there is a lot of focus right now on precious metals.
Along with this, governments around the world are printing currencies like drunken sailors with no regard for future ramifications. This debasement of currencies is why we are passionate about helping everyone understand the value of holding precious metals to protect your purchasing power.
Gold Coast Gold 2025
The timing could not be better for Gold Events and its founder, Kerry Stevenson, to be hosting the inaugural Gold Coast Gold 2025 at the QT Hotel and Resort on the Gold Coast.
Now that Cyclone Alfred has passed, the Queensland government is also keen to open up for business so there are stupidly cheap fares on sale just in time for the conference. Sydney to the Gold Coast from $55, Melbourne to the Gold Coast from $67.
