Wednesday is when US President Donald Trump’s tariffs come into force, what he called "liberation day". Markets are braced for the imposition of the proposed blanket tariffs, which include 10% on all imports and up to 60% on Chinese goods, with investors keeping an eye out for retaliatory signals from trade partners, or potential deals done to skirt the measures.
