HeLIX Exploration PLC (AIM:HEX) told investors it has started civil works at the Linda-1 well site in Montana, ahead of drilling its third production well at the Rudyard Project.
The company said construction of the access road and drill pad is underway, and, rig and crew mobilisation is expected to take place in the coming weeks.
Linda #1 will be drilled using the same rig and team that completed the Darwin #1 well, drilled in November. It is located about one mile south of Darwin and it's expected to have similar reservoir characteristics.
"We are excited to be on the ground getting ready to drill our third production well on Rudyard Project at Linda-1,” chief executive Bo Sears said in a statement.
Sears added that work on Rudyard’s gas processing plant is proceeding as planned, with the fabrication underway for the helium membrane package.
“The membrane package rejects nitrogen and increases helium grade before feeding gas into the PSA plant. It is an essential part of our processing pathway, and we are delighted to have secured this module for delivery ahead of our planned production in the near term,” Sears added.
