Tissue Regenix secures European patent for core regenerative tech

Tissue Regenix Group PLC (AIM:TRX) has strengthened its intellectual property portfolio with a newly granted European patent for its core decellularisation technology, dCELL.

The AIM-listed regenerative medical devices company said the patent, issued by the European Patent Office, covers its method for producing decellularised tissue scaffolds - the foundation of its product range. The technology removes DNA and other cellular material from human or animal tissue, leaving a structure that supports regeneration without triggering immune rejection.

Already protected in the US and UK, this latest patent adds further commercial weight as the company seeks to expand globally in regenerative medicine and implantable devices.

Chief executive Daniel Lee said: "Securing this patent is a significant achievement for the company. It reflects the continuation of the strength of our innovation and the differentiated value we bring to the market.

"This protection is key as we continue to scale and build long-term value for patients, partners, and shareholders."

The dCELL platform is used across a range of applications, from wound care to orthopaedics, and the patent helps secure the Group’s position as competition in the sector intensifies.
