Sunstone Metals Ltd is progressing its ongoing efforts to unlock value from its significant gold and copper discoveries through strategic partnerships.
The company has been actively engaging with multiple parties, offering access to its data room and facilitating site visits as part of a structured process to evaluate potential transactions. These include company-level deals, project-level joint venture earn-in agreements, and strategic combinations with complementary development-stage assets.
Advanced discussions
As a result of this process, Sunstone is now in advanced discussions regarding a confidential, incomplete, non-binding indicative offer. The company expects this proposal might be finalised in the short term, after which it due diligence will take place. Sunstone is working closely with the counterparty and is well-progressed in assessing the proposal and associated transaction risks.
Separately, Sunstone is also conducting due diligence and holding commercial discussions on a potential material business transaction. This could involve combining a privately held, near-term gold development asset with Sunstone’s two large-scale gold-copper projects. The company has hosted a site visit for this asset and is actively engaging with major shareholders to evaluate the strategic merit of such a combination.
Sunstone cautions that there is no certainty any proposal will be received, or if received, that it will be acceptable or proceed to a binding agreement. Further updates will be provided in accordance with the Company’s continuous disclosure obligations.
